These are the terms you agree to by using Mealbot. They are written to match what the software actually does — including the parts that are limited, which are set out plainly rather than buried.
Read the safety section. Mealbot screens recipes against allergens you declare, but that screening has real limits — most importantly, on a recipe generated in any language other than English it depends on the AI's own English naming of each ingredient, and the cooking steps are only ever checked in English. It is a helper, never a guarantee, and never a substitute for reading the actual product label.
1. Who you are contracting with
Mealbot is operated by František Bláha, Jana Černého 489/2b, Věkoše, 503 41 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, IČO 22059946, not registered for VAT (neplátce DPH). "We" and "us" mean that person; "you" means you.

2. What Mealbot is
Mealbot generates meal plans and recipes using an AI model, taking account of dietary patterns and allergens you declare, and helps you manage a shopping list, a fridge inventory and a cookbook.
Access is currently invitation only. If you were given an invite link, it works once, expires after about 48 hours, and cannot be transferred once used.
Demo accounts are a preview, not a service: they last about two hours, their data is then deleted, and they return fixed example content rather than AI-generated plans. Nothing in these terms about generation quality or screening applies to a demo account.
3. Your account
One account per person. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must confirm your email address before you can generate plans or subscribe.
You must be at least 16 to use Mealbot. It is not intended for children.
4. Price and billing

Stripe's checkout page always shows the exact, current figure, and that is the price that applies to your purchase. If anything here ever disagrees with checkout, checkout is right.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
The free trial
The trial runs for 10 days and requires a payment method up front. Unless you cancel before it ends, your subscription starts automatically and you are charged.
One free trial per person, and one per payment card. If you have had a trial before — or the card has already been used for a trial on another account — you will be charged straight away instead of receiving a second free period. Attempting to obtain extra trials with additional email addresses or cards is not permitted.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from the billing portal, reachable from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not cut you off mid-period.
Refunds and your right to withdraw
Mealbot is a digital service you can use immediately. By starting a subscription you ask us to begin providing it right away and you acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to a distance contract.
The 10-day free trial is the try-before-you-buy period — nobody is charged without having had the chance to use Mealbot first. We do not offer refunds for periods already started. This does not affect your statutory rights if the service is faulty or not as described.
If something has genuinely gone wrong — a billing error, or the service not working — email us. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
5. Fair use and service limits
AI generation costs us money per request, so there is a fair-use ceiling on how much generation one account can do:
- Subscribers: roughly €2 of model usage per calendar month, resetting on the 1st.
- During a free trial: roughly €0.75 for the whole trial. This does not reset — if you use it up early, generation stops until you subscribe.
These are approximate operational limits, not a metered allowance you are buying, and we may adjust them. Generations that fail or are refused do not count against your allowance. Reading, editing and managing content you already have is never blocked by this limit.
There are also some fixed limits on what a single request can ask for:
- 1–7 days per plan, 1–6 meals per day, 1–10 people
- Up to 20 declared allergens; up to 500 fridge items; up to 200 pantry staples
- Receipt uploads: JPEG, PNG or PDF, up to 10 MB
- Short free-text entries — long ones may be shortened or dropped
We also apply per-minute request limits to keep the service responsive. If you hit one, wait a moment and try again.
Note: generating a new plan replaces your previous unconfirmed plan. Plans you have confirmed are kept.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Share your account, or use someone else's.
- Create additional accounts, or use extra email addresses or cards, to get around trial limits, fair-use limits or a suspension.
- Access Mealbot by automated means, scrape it, or resell access to it.
- Try to manipulate the AI into producing content outside the purpose of the service, or to extract its instructions.
- Submit content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to submit.
- Attempt to break, overload, or probe the security of the service.
7. Your content, and ours
What you write stays yours — your notes, preferences, fridge contents and edits. You give us permission to store and process it so we can run the service for you.
Recipes generated for you are yours to cook, keep, adapt and share. We claim no ownership of them, and we make no claim that AI-generated text is original or that it can be protected by copyright.
Recipes you favourite may help improve suggestions for other users. When you favourite a recipe, we store a mathematical representation of it that can be used to suggest similar ideas to other people. Nothing identifying you is attached, and it is never shown as "someone else's recipe". Un-favourite a recipe and that representation is removed.
We also keep records of what the AI produced and any corrections you make to it, so we can find where it goes wrong and improve it. This is covered in the Privacy Policy.
Feedback: if you send us a bug report or suggestion, we may act on it freely, with no obligation of confidentiality and no compensation beyond any credit we explicitly offer. Accepted reports may be copied into our private issue tracker. Don't send us anything confidential.
8. Allergens, diets and safety
Mealbot is a helper, not a guarantee, and not medical or dietary advice. Always check the actual product labels yourself. For a diagnosed condition or allergy, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
When you declare allergens, we do two things: we instruct the AI to avoid them, and then we run a separate, automatic check over the generated ingredients. If that check cannot produce a plan that avoids your allergens, we refuse to show you one rather than showing you something doubtful.
Our allergen term lists are written in English. When a recipe is generated in another language, the AI must also supply an English name for each ingredient, and we check both that name and the one in your language. An ingredient it gives us no English name for cannot be checked at all, so we treat the whole plan as failed and generate a new one rather than showing it to you.
What that check cannot do — please read this properly:
- On a non-English recipe it leans on the AI's own English naming. The English name described above is the AI's own work. If it names an ingredient incorrectly in English, our check reads that incorrect word, finds nothing, and lets the recipe through. The check is only as good as that translation.
- Sulphites are not covered by the automatic check. Whether sulphites must be declared depends on how much remains in the finished product, which cannot be worked out from a recipe. We instruct the AI to avoid them, but there is no deterministic backstop.
- Cooking steps are checked in English only. We check both the ingredient list and the recipe steps, and we instruct the AI never to use anything in a step that isn't in the ingredient list. But steps are written in your language, and that check reads English — so on a non-English recipe, something introduced only in the method ("brush with butter") relies on that instruction rather than on our check.
- Edits you make are checked, but not blocked. If you change a recipe and the result contains an allergen you declared for that plan, we tell you — and we still save it. It is your recipe, so the decision stays yours. This check reads English ingredient names, so if you type an ingredient in another language we will not recognise it.
- It cannot know about cross-contamination, "may contain" warnings, or reformulated products. Only the label in your hand can tell you that.
- If you declare no allergens, nothing is screened at all. Your declaration is stored in your browser, so clearing site data or switching device can reset it — check it is still set before you rely on it.
Halal and kosher options bias the recipes toward compliance. They are not certification and involve no verification of sourcing or preparation.
Diets associated with medical conditions — gluten-free, low-FODMAP, diabetic, keto and similar — are offered as recipe styles. Low-FODMAP in particular is normally a temporary, dietitian-supervised elimination process, not a permanent way of eating. Mealbot does not supervise it and is not a clinical tool.
Baby food. The infant option applies general weaning guidance — no honey, no added salt or sugar, no whole nuts, no raw egg, no unpasteurised dairy, no high-mercury fish and no obvious choking hazards — and, like allergens, it now has an automatic check behind it: we scan the ingredients and steps and refuse to show a meal that fails.
That check reads ingredient names, so there is a lot it cannot see. It cannot tell whether a food was cut to a safe size, cannot judge whether cow's milk is being used in cooking or given as a drink, does not check total daily salt or sugar, and does not assess whether a meal is nutritionally adequate. It is also stricter than UK guidance on one point: it treats all raw and lightly-cooked egg as off-limits, because it cannot see whether an egg is British Lion marked.
Infant feeding carries real risks including choking and allergy introduction. Use this as inspiration only, and follow your paediatrician or health visitor.
9. Availability
Mealbot is provided as-is. We do not promise any particular uptime, and we can change, suspend or remove features. Generation depends on an external AI provider, so an outage there is an outage here. We do not credit or compensate for downtime or failed generations.
We take backups, but you should not treat Mealbot as the only copy of anything you care about.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for decisions you make based on generated content — including food choices. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights under the law of your country of residence are unaffected by these terms.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Mealbot at any time, and cancel your subscription from the billing portal. You can also delete your account yourself, in Settings — that cancels any subscription at the same moment, and it cannot be undone. See the Privacy Policy for what deletion does and does not remove.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we may withdraw the service. If we close your account without you having breached anything, and you have paid for a period you can no longer use, we will refund the unused part.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Mealbot after that means you accept it. If you don't, cancel — that is the remedy.
13. Language, law and disputes
These terms are published in English and in Czech. Both versions are equally authoritative and are written to say the same thing. If they ever differ, whichever reading is more favourable to you applies.
Czech law governs these terms. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and can bring proceedings there.
